Nature Walk Therapy Session

An active body plays a major role in your mental health. Whether it’s as simple as a meditative walk or a more intense workout. Physical fitness is one way to block the perception of pain/disconforment and increases the feeling of joy and pleasure. Staying consistent is the key to feeling better. We acknowledge with humility that we are an uninvited settler on Turtle Land where our practice is situated on the traditional territory of many nations. This includes Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.

TG Centring Voices therapy acknowledges and honours that the City of Toronto is also situated on the territories of the Wendat, the Anishnaabe and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We recognize the cultural assimilation and genocide that induced political-economic dominance. Our responsibility is to support the ongoing work needed to occur to dismantle the structures that perpetuate social violence and injustices.

We acknowledge the unbroken presence of First Nations, Metis and Inuit people across Turtle Island. We also acknowledge the sacredness of the Waters, Earth, Plants, Animals, Birds and the People of this land and give respect and appreciation for their presence in our community.
